Company History – A Leading UK Silicone Manufacturer
Silclear is a well-established UK silicone manufacturer based in New Milton, Hampshire, on the south coast of England. The company was founded in 1987 through the collaboration of a chemist and a dairy industry expert, both of whom recognised a growing need for high-quality silicone tubing and moulded components in the farming sector. The innovative silicone products Silclear developed quickly gained global recognition and became a trusted choice among dairy equipment manufacturers worldwide.
During the early and mid-1990s, the company experienced steady growth, driven by increasing demand for our silicone solutions and, in 2001, Silclear relocated to a larger, purpose-built facility in New Milton. This move allowed us to expand our processing capabilities while also bringing all manufacturing, warehousing and administration under one roof. This strengthened our ability to respond to our customers’ evolving needs and reaffirmed our position as a trusted and reliable UK silicone manufacturer.
In 2013, Silclear entered a new chapter when it was acquired by Tudorhead Holdings, bringing two new directors into the business. Under their leadership, the company flourished, leading to its acquisition in 2019 by Skellerup Holdings. Skellerup is a global designer, manufacturer and distributor of engineered polymer products and vacuum systems, headquartered in New Zealand. The group is known for its innovative solutions across a broad range of sectors, including dairy rubberware, infrastructure, roofing, plumbing, health, automotive and mining.
Now part of the Skellerup Group, Silclear continues to thrive as a trusted UK silicone manufacturer, delivering innovative, high-performance silicone products to customers and partners across the globe.
